State mask mandates slowly lifting across the US (but with major caveats)

According to this map, by early April, 21 states will have lifted their statewide mask mandate. (A good stat to keep in mind for Saturday's march & the message we want to spread.)

While it is good news that more states are slowly lifting these mandates, it's somewhat misleading because individual cities are often reinstating them just for that local area (Austin, TX for example). And of even bigger concern in my opinion is that a TON of businesses, schools, hospitals, churches, public transit spaces, workplaces, etc. continue to mandate masks in areas where there's no government mandate. In a way, this is worse because it takes the blame off the government, making it harder to focus pressure on any single entity to reverse these draconian policies. The message has to be to stop enforcing these mandates on each other–we need the PUBLIC on our side. Hope to see lots of smiling bare faces Saturday!

That's a very good point, Jholmie. In fact, I just talked to a friend in Texas, outside of Austin, and he confirmed that many businesses are still requiring masks. However, he did see the grocery store near him take down their sign. Another town nearby has about 50 to 50 masked vs. unmasked and you could really feel the difference from business to business.

Let's help Washington do it the right way: from the people up!
